Attorney Michelle M. Raymond is a mediator, divorce collaborative attorney, and litigation attorney.
As a problem solver, Ms. Raymond, a shareholder in the firm, assists her clients through their difficult legal and personal times with a focus on the prevention of future legal entanglements. She works with her clients to set goals which fit their unique situations and designs strategies with those goals in mind. Attorney Raymond recognizes that each client and each family is different and, therefore, each case needs to be handled and analyzed with that in mind. She provides mediation and litigation services for all family-related disputes, including divorce, child support, post-divorce, prenuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, restraining orders, parenting plans, paternity, separation, and non-traditional family issues. In addition, she works with families in the areas of adoption and guardianship.
Ms. Raymond is a trained and experienced mediator who has helped clients resolve family and other disputes since 2000. Her mediation services offer a cost-effective alternative for family and probate disputes, and provide parties with more control over the process. The mediation process allows the parties to explore options that fit their families and financial situations. She has the knowledge, background and resources to work with parties of all economic levels, including complex compensation plans, elder law issues in divorce, and complex marital estates.
In addition to mediation and litigation, she also practices collaborative law in divorce and family matters and has for almost 20 years. This alternative dispute resolution process, in which both parties and counsel contract to negotiate without court involvement, provides clients with the assurance of having legal counsel involved throughout the divorce process which involves carefully planning meetings in which the clients, attorneys and a coach/facilitator actively participates. It has the added advantages of having financial and child/divorce coaches directly involved in the process. The process is one which emphasizes cooperation, problem solving, and making decisions based on well thought out and researched options.
Attorney Raymond also recognizes that there are some cases where mediation and other alternative dispute resolution options are not appropriate, and court is the most viable option. In these situations, she, along with her DDCRW team, use their expertise to advocate for those clients in the courts and can take the case to trial if necessary.
Attorney Raymond works with a team of professionals to guide her clients through the often stressful and overwhelming decisions involved in the divorce process. Through her years of experience working with families she has found that it is imperative to have knowledgeable professionals assist clients, and the attorneys involved, research available options to ensure that all avenues are considered and the best options utilized in the result. She has cultivated this team of professionals, including coaches, job placement/training, financial professionals, realtors, accountants, therapists, movers and others who have the experience and knowledge to assist her clients through all the challenges involved in the divorce process. Part of her teams of professionals include the LSNPros Hockomock Advisors and the My Wealth Management Team (myWMT) where she collaborates with other professionals on how best to assist clients.
