Attorney Andrew M. Kepple has more than 10 years of experience in state and federal courts, concentrating his practice in the areas of landlord-tenant law, civil litigation and employment law.
Mr. Kepple represents multiple large residential landlords and property management companies in all aspects of their business, including lease drafting, fair housing compliance, lease enforcement, non-payment and “for cause” evictions, and related civil litigation. He has successfully resolved hundreds of summary process lawsuits for his clients in housing courts and district courts throughout eastern Massachusetts.
As an employment law attorney, Mr. Kepple regularly assists businesses and individuals with the goal of efficiently and effectively resolving legal disputes. He provides a wide variety of services to local businesses, including drafting and reviewing employee handbooks, interpreting and complying with employment laws, defending against and initiating civil litigation, debt collection and drafting employment and severance agreements. He also represents individuals who have experienced workplace discrimination, wage and hour law violations, and other wrongful acts by their employers.
As a civil litigator, Mr. Kepple has a successful track record of representing businesses and individuals. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in tort, contract, and personal injury matters. His civil litigation skills and knowledge have allowed him to successfully represent clients in complex matters and resolve cases through negotiation or, if necessary, trial.
Mr. Kepple graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2001 and received his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 2006. As a student at St. John’s, he was director of the law school’s mock trial team, a senior staff member on the New York International Law Review, recipient of the CALI award for Civil Trial Advocacy, and recipient of the 2006 ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award.
He also has worked as a trial attorney at the New York City Law Department, where he gained extensive courtroom experience defending the city, its agencies and employees in a wide variety of civil litigation matters. He served as lead trial attorney in more than 50 lawsuits, including claims for negligence, property damage, false arrest, and numerous intentional tort cases.
